This song was a pile of fun to write and record. I woke up one night at about 3am, and finding myself wide awake and beyond restless, I reached next to my bed and grabbed my guitar (it's always there! lol!). I strummed a few chords and suddenly, 30 minutes later, I had "Don't Go Jo" completely written. Feeling pretty darn satisfied, I then put the guitar down and instantly fell back asleep.
Call it what you will, divine intervention or just a music junkie waking up in the middle of the night with an idea, I sure feel beyond lucky when a song hits me that fast and that hard. It's a pretty amazing feeling and experience. Hope you like this little hook-laden nugget my middle of the night and somewhat manic musings came up with! Cheers! --RC
