New Christmas music for 2010

My friends and family usually laugh at the big Christmas display I erect outside my house each year. I have giant inflatable snowmen, penguins, and a Santa Claus. I have lights all over the house and lit up candy canes (my personal favourite) that guide a person up the driveway to our house. And each year I keep adding more and more items (I am currently eyeing up a hockey playing penguin). Needless to say, I am a bit of a Christmas nut. So, what better way to celebrate the holidays than by recording a few Christmas songs. With the help of my band Half-Hour Late, I have created a new Christmas song, "Van Morrison's Santa Claus," based on an old Van Morrison classic; I have re-recorded "Snoopy's Christmas"; and I have remastered "Snow Miser & Heat Miser." The latter two have proved to be my most popular songs from my 1994 "Santa's Rockin' Band" release, and the former is a track Half-Hour Late has been performing live for more than a decade (so much so that when we play the original song "Gloria," I will often forget the original words and break into SANTA). I sure hope you have as much fun listening to these songs as I had recording them. Christmas is a time for the kid in all of us to come out and that is what these songs are all about. All my best to you and your loved ones for a very Merry Christmas! Rich Chambers
